Re: Godspeed Ed Ryan
Ed was one of the nicest if not the nicest guy I’ve met through the VW scene. Always so even keeled and straight to the point. I will cherish the fond memories camping and doing VW things with Ed. Rest easy my friend.

Re: Home away from Home, on wheels.
Mike nice job. Take a look at the local parts store. They have chrome sleaves with chrome caps that fit right over the valve stems. I'm sure that would be right up your alley. I put them on my little trailer.

You guys really had some great weather for that parade. How many cars showed up total? Who's oval is that? I haven't seen that one before. I think you posted this in the wrong thread Glenn. here's where this comment would probably go better. http://www.dasvolks.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=39&t=4...

I think this car needs to keep that arctic camo look. Get it straight and smooth and flat. And then lay that camo back on there for real out of a gun. Make sure the paint shop adds flatener to the paint to knock down the shine.

Re: Raj R: 73 181 Refurb
Looks good. I'm so paranoid over those little fires. You really need to stay on top of that shit. I had some undercoating go up on me last night. Of course welding and grinding while my right shoulder is leaning on a 10 gallon fuel tank was enough to keep me alert. That interior corner looks like it...

I guess you might be able to leave a cable in the new channel to use as a drag at a later date.Brown wrote:Glenn A wrote:One PITA is going to be having to disconnect the wire harness in the front to feed it back through the hole in the new heater channel, but I can do that at my leisure or never!!

Raj you are doing a splendid job on this ride. It should look tight when it is done. I'm pretty sure you have a raised beam in stock. Any plans to put that in this car?
