Thanks for coupon for Rock Auto... they send them out to users once in a blue.
I took a cruise to OBI Sun Am. The Place was jammed! Couldn't get in even at 645am I think the Chip Foose action from last week fired up all of LI car guys
She ran good over all. Brakes need to be tighten up. Its on the list.

Later that day, the boys decided to use it as a playground. Typical.

Had a great cruise out to Jersey for Flanders with the Thing. She ran great and ran cool.... came home with a 2nd place trophy to boot! I need to swap tops for the winter, and I already have a 'to do' list for her. Not sure where those things are in order of priority though yet.

The thing needed an exhaust so bought this 'hot dog' from EMPI as I wanted something thingish that would exit through the bumper. CIP1 actually has the raw ones coated locally in Cali, so become more cost effective. Vintage speed makes a SS one.... have heard only good things, but $500 is some pretty coin that I can stretch other places.

Also Had some new heater boxes that I painted with Hitemp flat black, and we swapped out. The plan is to get the heat going in it as well.

Needed some maintenance so also changed the gas filter and oil. While she up in the air, we adjusted the brakes, greased the front end, and tweaked the idle a bit. The oil filler was leaking so we changed the crush gasket there too.

Havent Done Jack to this old girl. I stumbled upon the fact that some buggy guys were hitting up the Glen Cove show. Turns out the family was heading to the beach in Glen Cove anyway... so it was a win win. Hit up Bman around 10pm, and he said he'd meet me here. What a show and what a venue!
