installed the new linkage set up..... its never easy, is it?

installed tower... not a bad set up. all ball bearing with internal spring.

issue 0ne..... the 3-4 side of the linkage setup hits the condenser on the 010..... grrrrrrr

temporaily solved that by shifting it over one hole.... and mounting it with only one screw, that will have to do until i see GR and try another one screw mountable condensor

i noticed a slight binding in the 3/4 carb since new, while she was out, i poked around to determine the cause

turns out that there is some can of some sort under the center of the carb, that some lever/ cam follower rides on. The cam section wasnt as smooth as i think it should have been... seemed to have some very minor ridges left during machining. some wet paper cured that.... now shes smooth as silk.

1/2 side of linkage was able to slip bw the already plumbed breather set up. kinda tight but i think it will work.

the claw installed. I wish it wasnt logoed... i hate that free advertising stuff. I mounted it ove rthe exhaust and used washers to space it out to clear the weld. I guess that'll work

what a nite... just got in form outside. Been at it since 6

ouch

Its in, just to late to fire it up..... but i dont like the throttle cable feel. Its binding up, and I'm gonna 'deal' with that. I might have to yank it partially to determine the source of the binding. I hate that.

i was just doing some research on TS. Looks like there should be a notch in the firewall, allowing passage of the throttle cable. Damn, i gotta get in there and 'add' it. Well, at least the tools are out, and car is still up in the air. Tommorow is another day, weather permitting, or course.

i headed out to the driveway at the crack of dawn this am. Yanked the 1/2 side carb, and droppe the motor slightly. The front engine seal needed some clearancing for the throttle tube. While i was under there, I slightly twisted a fitting on the oil fan to provide more clearance for the now bigger clutch arm. I tightened up the slack on the clutch and threw her back together. I was too early to start it, but I'll get in back on teh ground tonite.

I bet mikes was the same issue, binding on the engine rubber.

Theres a pic of what it should look like in this link. I think.

I seem to recall my cable was binding on the back side of the motor, near the rubber seal around the front of the engine. Is that what yours is doing Raj? Im curious if this roller set up is really a fix for what seems like a different issue to me. If the rubber is in the way, how does this fix it?
