too many!
I'm going to swap the plates from the ghia to this. With the drivetrain being stock in this it should serve as a good driver.

Agreed Aud.
I didnt do this to the baja after I did the bodywork on paint on it ten + years ago, and now the door bottoms are starting to bubble from the inside rot.

Good eye Tom, but no... these are another set of polished 5's, same make and style as my 65's.

Off to a good start- keep at it! If you're going after the original paint, I hope it's the same all over underneath the blue.

under the blue, is a white primer, over a red paint job, over the grey Im looking for. The issue is that when they painted one of the layers, they hit it with a DA sander and touched metal. Thats why as i peel is back you see the bare metal. I'll fiddle with it as I drive it over the winter, and then polish it out. Maybe I'll ' touch up' the metal with some paint. If I completely hate it, I'll shoot the outside with a quickie respray next year. At least this excersize will expose any body work that may lie beneath.

She officially on the road as of last weekend. While giving her a once over and trying to get her brakes in order, the long metal line ' popped' from being rusted out, as many of them do. Pulled out the old one and some of the pedal assy, preparing for the new one due this week

This is one f those cars, that once stripped down to what's left of the original paint would look sick with a high gloss clear on it lol.
I'm not sure what it is, but the anthracite, silver (bare metal) combo would look awesome IMO.
