Looking good! Get yourself a nice set of hogring pliers if you dont already have, and you'll be back in business in no time flat.

I was told to get good hogring pliers- the day after I ordered the cheap ones. I have no idea how well they work, the following day I read to use zip ties instead. Mine's a buggy, they're out of sight out of mind, so I went with it.

Painted the frame with 2 coats of primer then 2 coats of black. Then put fabric around the springs

A lot of the sharp edges were broken so I put small screws in there place

For the top half I put a small piece of plastic over the horse hair to make the covers slip over

I'm happy with how the 2/3 seat turned out. Today I ripped apart the drivers seats and will be completing next week

Thanks for the kind words.

I took apart my drivers seat and the bottom frame fell apart in my hands it was so rusty. Going to go ahead and complete the top half of the seat while I locate a bottom half.

Found a drivers seat in Jersey. Picked it up and painted it.

I stripped the floor of the front cab and started to paint it with por15. After I get a couple more coats on it I will prime and repaint.

What I started with

Image

Grinded off some loose rust

Image

1 coats of por15

Image

Took off the front emblem which was a repo. Going to clean up the nose, put a layer of wax on then get a new emblem

Looking for a new exhaust. What I am currently running is extremely loud. Looking for a quieter option. Any suggestion?

Stock exhaust is quiet.. but rather restrictive and ehhh... ' stockish'.

What size motor is it again?

I wouldn't do the stock muffler on a 2L....Too restrictive. Have you checked out the options form Vintage Speed? I have only heard good things.

The problem you are going to have is that most non restrictive options are ' louder' than stock. For the most part, Its the restriction in flow that reduces the decibels..... that's the rub.

Looking into vintage speed and a sidewinder exhaust. Waiting to get some little projects done first and my tax return check.

Is the pass seat ' slanted' ( looking at the back rest) or is it just the way its propped against the wall?

Seats look great. Love the fabric choice. I did a set for my bug and my bus and it is a tricky project. Will really make the bus pop!

Thanks I bought the covers from TMi so installation wasn't too bad. Worst part was dealing with all the broken clips on the seat frame.
