Are spring loaded pushrod tubes any good? What about any of the other aftermarket?

They sell a couple of versions of them , as I said the picture was before we put in the tubes and tried to tighten the heads . I basically need a new case. I don't know which way I'm going yet , either a new short block or if something else comes up that looks promising I'll consider it .

when it comes to aftermarket== these tubes are the best and expensive. I have used them on many motors...

Your time will come..... For years all I heard was "when you gonna paint it". Most of those guys are long gone.

Alright , so I'm reinstalling everything on the long block and I have a question before I button this thing up. I installed the oil cooler and had 2 seals to choose from the orange and the black. I choose the orange because I felt when it compressed it would be more even ,I have never installed one before so let me know what you think. I can easily change it if I made a mistake so don't hold back ( like you would ) .By the way the black one if about a 1/4 on an inch taller than the orange one.

And here is what it looks like done , it says 5 lbs with a torque wrench but I read that as snug.
