I've been up and working since 4:30am.

It was a tough commute since the heat was still on the overnight setting and i had to travel about 12 feet to my home office.

I write to you now from the bellows deep within the funeral home... The heat vent is right under my desk and is thawing out my boots...

Ugh, I hate this shit.

Left home before 6am. After finally finding a DD that was open, continued to head to work. Turning off 110 I seen an email that says the office is closed until noon. oops.
Hanging out here for a bit longer and get some Year End stuff done.... I plan on being well into my sleigh riding with Liam by the time these other guys get in here.

Stay safe people!

Been there done that every time it snowed for 18 or 19 years ! Most days before the roads were plowed! Then get to work and be outside for a good 4 to 6 hours straight snow blowing and shoveling. It's so much nicer sitting on the couch looking out the window! :D

Made the executive decision to stay home (the FD never closes) and just finished shoveling. A kindly neighbor did the pass with the snowblower so that was a treat. Heading into the city tonight for a show so will be fighting the bitter cold with the street lights of NYC!
Keep working at it and it gets done!!

She lived in Cleveland and NC before she moved here, she's used to it. Then again, she hasn't left the house.

I was going headlights deep trough snow drifts around 5am on the way to work. I despite the conditions some schmuck will still pass me doing 50+ Never ceases to amaze me. Though the true kicker today is I still have yet to figure out who shoveled my driveway in my absence.

Took the LIRR to work this morning and then sat back and listened to the people who didn't make it in say it was not safe to be on the roads and there was limited RR service.

Do they really think the people that made it in to work are buying that? What tools!

This is funny because I was on a conference call at 7:30 and they were asking where everyone was and I said I'd be in on time and people were pissed off that I was making them look bad.

I also thought some people were driving way too fast for those conditions.

Anyone use there acvw as a daily driver even in this weater? I was but below 30 degrees I start missing modern heat. As much as I wanna try my bug in the snow I also own two four wheel drive vehicles (03 sequoia, 08 tundra) and figured I'd be stupid to try the bug going to work at 6am the day after a "blizzard". I was picking up two coworkers and thought it be funny when I pulled up in the bug vs my truck!
Well hope we get some good weather soon, it would be nice to meet up and shoot the shit with you guys. Plus I wanna install my shifter bushings I got from Santa!

I drove my bus for a few years all year... They do good in the snow, it's not the moisture or water that concerns me most it's the salt.
Just the same, I'll still roll the bus I just am more mindful of it.
I wouldn't take it out with the kids in the car, and where able now I tend to avoid putting it in the way of other idiots who aren't as mindful on the slippery roads.
But for fun, definitely get it out and have some fun. Just give it a wipe down after.

Tom at 6am you would be 2hours late. Glenn did half of that car get taken out by a snow plow? The back window and seal look like only half of them are there.
