I'd love to rock the thing spindles but I dont know if I can use them with the ghia disk brakes. Its a toss up. I might just invest in lifted BJ spindles for the nose.

Had a strange noise in the rear the other day. Turns out the rear drum was loose and wouldnt tighten any more because the outer bearing fell apart.
Thanks to a prompt response to a fellow DVGer.... German FAG part arrived the next day.
New seal
Brakes came apart and went back together real easy since they were all only 3 months old.
Took her for a drive.... much better!

nope. Normally I would, but I plan on upgrading the suspension to 3 x3 rear arms eventually, so I 'll replace them all when I do that. Time to too precious right now to be dicking around, and the focus is the 65.

Took her for a ride this am to OBI. No problems. I was surprised... she did well.
Got home at 930 am and changed the oil while she was hot. Went to pull it in the street.... and it stalled. Fired again... stalled. Weird. The number 2 rule for a ACVW should be, that if it stalls... dont restart it. Check the fuel hoses first. Why, you ask... bc when they fall off or fail... it usually results in fire. Well.... mine fell off in my route from my drive way to the street. Very odd.... and I'm very thankful the big guy was watching me at that point. If it would have happened any of the 30 mile before.... instant fire.
Changed the filter, and the hoses..... good to go. whew.
