Translation Please

Can someone translate for me? i'm not too knowledgeable with these old suspension set ups or that a transmission has a different case depending on the electrical system voltage?

its from this ad : http://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/ ... id=1710320

"Stock front beam, drop spindles up front

Swing axle kit out back. Welded 1-2 welded 3-4 388 ring and pinion. Freeway flyer. Tranny case is a stong 12v case. Not a 6 volt that has been ground out. Type 3 brakes. "

The front beam is stock, not lowered or narrowed, but it does have dropped spindles which lowered the front.

Tranny is beefed up with the syncros weld to the gears and a 3.88:1 ring and pinion. Also it has a later case which is stronger.

Must be a Type 1 tranny that they put wider Type 3 rear brakes on.

I should do the responsible thing and spend the money on a paint job, which i will bring up in a separate thread...
