Got the front brakes done, replaced the dead spring in the rear and connected the hard and soft lines for the front.

Finished all the hard and soft lines today and did a half-assed brake bleeding. Guess what? Brakes work! Finally!
After I examined my rear soft lines I found out, with some research, that they were OG Ate brake lines, they were
really lumpy, and the insides looked like a fast food fanatics arteries.....
Amazingly they worked for 46 years without failing. Now I'm starting to wonder, what else did the PO let slip by?

46 years! WOW! I thought my old Impala was doing well with 28 on the brake hoses. Maybe they would have made it to 46, they weren't clogged yet.

Nice pics, BTW.

Regarding generator brushes....
Dear William,

Thank you for shopping NAPAonline.com. We apologize for the delay in contacting you about your order. We regret to inform you the generator brush set that you ordered is not available at this time. It is on factory back--order. We do not have an estimated delivery date available. We have attempted to locate this item for you without success. Your order number 333032 has been cancelled. You will not incur any charges relating to the cancelled order.

We apologize for any inconvenience and again we thank you for shopping NAPAonline.com.

Regards,

Customer Support
Does anyone know where I can get them? I've tried Napa and Autozone, which are the only stores near me and they either didn't have them or didn't even know what they were! Do any of you have any previous experience with online stores regarding generator brushes. It's the only thing needed to get the bus drivable and it's URGENT!
Can anybody help me out?
Thanks!

I think the fasination in this is that barn might almost be cooler than the bus lol...

Dont get me wrong, the bus is kick ass, and likely the single coolest color for one... (right up there with velvet green...lol) but the barn is like WOW. It looks like somthing out of a calendar...

It has Bus history too.

The place where I have fun!

Before paint (last year)

And previous Buses that have graced this barn, just doing my job to keep the family traditional alive!

I'm thinking I should change the thread title to: "Hale Eddy Barn and bus"
