The Beam is done and all that is left is to bleed the brakes and get the front end aligned.
Here are some shots!

Now that the front is dropped... the rear is way too high.

Can't tell from those pics how narrow new beam looks? Maybe wait till it gets darker and stand in your neighbors yard for the right angle!
What are your thoughts on the 3" ken? Think it is going to be just right? Are you going to set it lower? You going to get some 145's for it?

Re: 68 Bug
The ride out to and back from the CRW was interesting. SInce it has the new narrowed beam and i have not gotten it alligned yet i was not sure what to expect.
When i got on the parkway it went straight and didn't pull to either side . The steering wheel didn't shake or move at all and the car was very response to turning.
The problem was when driving at highway speed I was getting a thump. thump, thump sound when I went into a left turn or changed lanes to the left. When turned the wheel from side to side i would get the thump aonly when truend to the left but not the right.
I know i need to get the fron end aligned but could this be due to a bad rear wheel bearing or CV joint on the right side of the car?
THanks for anythoughts!!

Nope nothing is rubbing!
It only takes a very little turn, basicly when the wieght of the car transfers to the right side!!

Ke I dont know it it's the same, but I drove my blue bus without a alligment for a while after I lowered it, ad I had the same, almost clapping like sound whenever I turned to the left, as soon as I had it alliged it went away.

Did you have to bring the bus to a specific place familiar with vintage vehicles, or can any alignment shop work on it?dubstar wrote:I recently had my bus aligned and it made a big difference...
