St Pats in Wantagh- Sunday 3/16/25 2pm

Post by Raj »

Ok boys and girls... ready for round two?

So last year, we had some gripes.
1 - We were last. I already emailing them asking not to be last. No repsonse. Its prob bc we are the new kids on the block. yeah... that wasnt awesome. So unless they move us up, or they have new car clubs this year, we should plan again to close it out.

2 - wait time. It was a looong wait. Mike and I were chatting. This year, to pass that time, suggest we party DVG style. When we park inthe lot, we will ' circle ya wagens', creating an open spot where we chill and eat. If we agree, we can make a good list of food and everyone bring something. we will be better prepared this year.

Any other comments?

So where are we at with this? People still interested? I see it may rain, is there a rain date?

Got the email from the powers that be yesterday. We need to me at the HS again, same spot at last year by 1230.

Lets meet at the same parking lot as last year at noon; Cherry Wood Shopping Center on Wantgh Ave. Landmark is Dunkin and Iavarone Bros. We can drive over together at 1215.

Parade steps off at 2pm, and yes... we are last again. ( booo), so we will be chilling for ~2 hours before we go.

I see no rain date so assume we are a go regardless!

Sorry guys, I think we're out. Had some meds yesterday for my diabetes and between that and last night's corned beef I'm feeling horrible today. Can't be relying on a Porto potty if you get my drift

Glad you enjoyed it. How long was the wait?

I made the right decision staying home. Me and the toilet spent the day together LOL

We were home by 4 so I guess we were called up at 3. I heard they asked the Jeep guys to limit it to 20 max so maybe there tring to shorten.

The parade was slow. ... mainly due to these guys handingout shot midway. Huge 'shot' traffic damn. Godamit.

Lots of people. Lots of Green . Everyone except Mike.

Yes, yes... I was not in green. I wore... red... I don't own green! lol

Was a good time, same wait as before but now that I knew to expect it, I didn't seem to care as much.

Just glad the rain held off. It was a slow parade - I grabbed a shot in the middle, so I can't really complain about the traffic!
