Well today the '71 made its first gander around the block. BusBBQ was here to get the brakes adjusted and bled. Tried to put back the carb that came with the bus but it wouldnt run so back in went the donor carb until i can get something else. Have some video but will have to wait.
Working on the eletric and switching out old for new and by process of elimination found one of the rear light boxes is bad so that needs to be replacd and the wire to the PS tailnlight is good at the fuse but no power at the end where it makes the connection will.have to run something back. Also brakes lights are no go so start with new switches.
Was real happy today to see this bus get some action and hope the electric issues can be finished to get this on the road.
Thanks Bill for all your help and the loaner carb really appreciate your time. He arrived in his 1940 Plymouth what a beauty thay ride is.
With the bus now rolling I need some proper seating!!
Finished up the mate to the PS seat last night. The DS was a lot more tricky since the seat back and bottom did not come apart. Just glad to have it done.
It meets it's mate!!
The few times I have had it out around the block I used a playmate as my seat!! Not as comfy!!

but at least you have the cold drinks handy... just in case!
After seeing thie above picture I just had to do this!!
I dug out the door panels from the bus I picked at GT. I cleaned them up, put up a vapor barrier and they look much better. Just have to pick up some plugs for the door frame. The old ones were dry or missing. This will tide me over for a while. There have some water damage on the bottom.
Here's the PS seat. The DS seat needs to have to the bottom cushion tightened up. I wasn't sure how the runers would affect the slide so didn;t want to make it permanent yet.
Working on getting the rear seats covered. Have some carpet coming this week to do the floors so want to have the other seats ready to install. Custom fit!!
Here's the job supervisor catching a few ZZ's on the covered '67!!
Will get the rear back seat finished tonight. Set up the sewing machine in front of the TV and catching up on missed shows!!

this is the old fiberglass. The stuff I want to get is called Roxul and it is sold at limited Home Depots so I have to venture over to get it this weekend. I got some carpet to put down and will put some up on the side walls rather than the paneling.
Well, things are getting frustrating. I had to send pics to the insurance to show the bus and show that it did not have a "kitchen". In one pic of the exterior side, they noticed that it appeared I have a one car garage and now I have to send a pic with both cars garaged. No one on my block has a two car garage!
