NG....I haven't spoken to Tony yet, but she's bogging down when I go to step on the gas pedal and let out the clutch...bucks and stalls, sometimes I can catch it and she rev's up and I can get her going....went to start her up on Sunday no dice....and I mean nothing...turns over but wont start. He's going to blame it on the progressive carb, didn't have these issues before, but they are here now. either he adjusts the progressive and get's it running right, or if he doesn't want to fool with it, I'll buy IDF40's and hopefully never have to deal w/ issues in the cold again....

Make sure the electronic choke is hooked up and that the butterfly isn't stuck closed. You may also want to make sure the rubber boots on the intake manifold are tight.

Thanks Tom...
I'll check the choke and the butterfly valve...the boots on the intake are brand new, and I'll check them too...

Hey....
sorry about the time lapse...
Yeah so the story is, I picked it up and it's not 100%, if I went to engage the clutch the engine would take a nose dive and stall, but only under load. starting and idle is great....So i drive it home... and I park it. The next day I go to start it and she turns over but won't start. So I put my hand up and call to have Tony pick it back up. now I filled it up with gas before she sat Idle at my house over the winter and I only drove to Tony's to have him work on the car, so I thought I had plenty of fuel, but I guess between running it at the shop and the drive home, tank went dry. Just very odd that I shut it down in her parking spot and that was it...no more gas.
I still have to go and pick it back up.

Was heading up island from out east this afternoon and got to see Dave and Ben Grimm cruising on Sunrise Hwy. Great to see them back on the road again.
Hope the bus is running good!!

Don't forget to follow the engine builders recommended breakin procedures and service intervals.
I generally change the oil at 200, 500, 1000 and 3000 miles.
Oil is cheap, new engines are not.

I replaced the pump in mine a long time ago and it is awesome to have running water. Just make sure every year you put 1/2 cup of bleach and fill the tank and then empty it and refill with water a 1/2 of apple vinegar and run that through. Don't want to get Legionnaires disease do you ?

Yeah..ha!
After the removal and install of the pump,
I reacted just like Tom Hanks in Cast Away when he made fire
That much closer to civilization !
