The engine was advertised to have 125-130psi, but when it arrives both #1 and #3 had only 30psi. The cam was measured and had less than half the normal lift .190(Intake).210(Exhaust). So the cam is flat and the engine needs to be split open and the cam replaced. As you know parts and labor for a Type 4 is way more than for a Type 1.
I think what the guy meant is when you add compression of each of the cylinders together it's 125 to 130PSI.
LOL good one Ken

Scared the hell out of Tony. I showed up at the shop in my bay about 10 minutes after Mike left with his. He thought it was Mike coming back

So this weekend I actually had my first chance to spend some real time out with the bus. Every year, I work a local soccer tournament that hires out for per-diem EMT's and while the usual hang out is on the field under an E-Z-up, the Westy proved a much more popular, and comfortable alternative. I was able to pull the bus right up onto the field at a local high school. We were one, of 6 sites participating in the tournament and with 23 fields, and 217 individual soccer teams participating there was plenty of people stopping in to say hi and tell thier own renditions of the "I had this same van when..." story. Myself and some friends had the chance to really hang out and enjoy the great weather, I poped the top, and during the day had the screen windows all open, the awning was out and the jalousies were cranked full open. The inverters were running all day, and the additional deep-cycle battery really came in handy! It was running my Bose stereo from Saturday 7am-8pm right through to Sunday 7am-8pm on 110V with no power interupption! We had a blast. After the tournament ended some friends from the Ambulance corps had a BBQ and baseball game on an adjacent fieild, again the bus was the center of attention and really MADE the party what it was... Heres some pics!

HAHA... If someone wants to bail me out of what I got in it... Id move on... Seeing as Ive not really had any biters on my feeler, it stays untill I get bored of it or no longer need it. I wont lie, spending a weekend in a bus is an experiance like no other. It has this uncanny ability to make people smile, its a great conversation piece, and starts me talkn to people Id likely not otherwise talk to. Like I said before, theres an ad up, I equate it to the guys with 57 Chevys who have nice FOR SALE vinyl letters on thier cars, just because 'everything has its price!
GA, EXACTLY. Thanks for the paraphrase!

Ok, so I cant take full credit for this, since I really got the idea from another forum... but how funny would this be?!
My plates on the bus should say "BAYQRIUS" as in bay curious, which sounds like GAY! HAHAHA ok Im done. But really, itd be funny.
