i know that most products no matter what the Brand there sold under are made in other countries i worked for Cadillac for 25 years and can say about 80 percent of the parts i changed were from other countries and those were the parts that failed often so when people say American cars suck its because they source out the parts to

countries like Tiawan/MEXICO/HUNGARY/ CHECH REPUBLIC/BRAZIL/JAPAN/PHILIPINES/AND MORE. HERES a pic of some Genuine Harley parts

when i build a larger engine ill go with better forged internals and nice heads. ive also watched many you tube videos of people Bashing products when if you watch closely these people should not be able to open a tool box let alone work on a car. i do appreciate the input and advice and personal experiences with this stuff so keep it coming. i have GOLD AND DIAMONDS TASTE AND A MAC AND CHEESE BUDGET

So what's your point? Both Ram trucks and the Chevy Silverado are made in Mexico.
Americans are employed and make a quality product. I'm not saying China doesn't make quality parts but companies like EMPI and others exploit the cheap labor there and use the lowest quality raw materials and manufacturing.
Just look at the EMPI 009s made in China compared to the Bosch German.. or Brazilian for that matter.
I remember Samba Joe putting a new Chines alternator in his Bus only to have the bearings go bad in a month.
I understand having a budget but if you can't afford to do it right the first time, how are you going to afford to fix it?

no point in general just saying china parts serve a purpose i think they can support a low performance build and in my case buy
me some time to stash some cash for a better engine build and let me mock up the intake/throttle body i need to make. got my cam/springs/retainers/keepers/and gear today they forgot my lifters

cam break in says 30 minutes at 2-3 thousand rpm so i may do my mock up/ build for the fuel injection then put the stock carb setup on to break it in the fuel injection can be set with a base tune but im not liking 30 minutes at 2-3k
