You were asking me about the spare tire mount that I have (tire mounts w/rim facing out so you can put the hubcap on)
Bus Depot no longer carries it, at least it wasn't listed on their website. I did find it on CIP1

I like the tire cover with the caricature of the bay bus . Besides looks like you would have to add some holes in the front of that shinny bus . How do you know what type of mount is under that cover anyway ?

its funny you say that,..... bc we pulle dthe nose off last nite, but cant grab the pass front fender, but I cant open the pass door. Its stuck bc the impact pulled the nader pin rearward binding the door shut. So tonite I wil sawzall the ext cab portion off the truck to allow the pass door to open. Thats fun to do to a truck that never saw parking lots.

I agree with GA, lets see what way the spare is facing to start with. Can you just flip the tire over and add a spacer or longer bolts?

Raj, we both know extrication by the back of our hand... I say we go snatch a multitool from E Farm, and work on some cribbing, roll the dash and peel the roof.Hell, We can bring the rams and put that nader pin back where it belongs!

Its here! Took it for a bath, and played around a bit. You can tell its from CO. Its begging for air. Im bringing it down to Tony's tomorrow for a once over. But Ill take it out tonight if you guys wanna meet up. I do have a meeting at 630. But otherwise can head out for a bit. Wanna meet somewhere on 110?

Well, its here. Havent gotten to do much driving yet though. Its sputtering, and feels like a fuel issue. It accelerates and can roll with traffic but doesnt want to go over 40ish... When I do get on the pedal it sputters and bucks. The concencus so far is that its from the altitude change from Denver to here (over 1 mile down) but IDK. Its going to Tony's tomorrow any ways for a nice once over, and will hopefully get sorted through without much to do.

Otherwise its a nice bus. The interior is in good shape, cabinets are complete. Seats, beds etc are real nice. Tyhe underside is DRY No rust which I was happy to see. and the body is real clean. The slider, slides with a satisfying roll to it, and the rear latch closes smooth. The front door handles are a bit tempermental, but I think theyre just freezing because the mechanism seems to be working fine. The radio doesnt work, dispite the sellers telling me so, and the turn signal doesnt cancel after a turn, the 110 connection in the bus also doesnt seem to be working, but I might be using it wrong as I cant tell which direction of the switch is "on" nontheless thats pretty menial, I want it to be running nice and smooth then I can slowly play with other things on my own. This isnt going to be another project, thats what Reise is for, but I look forward to playing with things on the bus and getting some good camping time out of it this summer.

dont worry about it mike... after all... its older than you are.

I dont think its 100% altitude change to blame.... but might be. It could be something as trivial as a something got knocked loose in transit or something, or stir up shit in the gas tank.

I'm glad shes a dry bus..... thats the most important thing

remeber when we had to fix ur bay at litchfeild....... the thing backfired bc of the firing order and scared the $HIT our of samba joe.

sounds like an injection problem. When Rob and i came back from CTS his Bay was bucking and at time barely running. We drive from Delaware all the way back that way. It wound up being a chafed wire to one of the injectors causing that injector to not "inject".

that was funny lol...

Im kinda nervous but realistically itll get fixed. Tony and Wayne will get it running and itll be back on the road soon. I was hoping to get it and just go joy riding today, but Ill go out when its running happy. I just want to make sure its happy and healthy for Daytona, any reservations and Ill be taking the Ford... lol

As Glenn once taught me, whenever you get a new-old car, expect a few hundred dollars of repairs... I was kind of planning for somthing... and hoping for nothing. Truth be told, I was also taught to shoot for 2 out of 3 to be good... interior, exterior, mechanics... I guess I got my 2/3's lol

Good luck with the new ride mike, I'm sure it will be on the road by this weekend. Have fun with it and don't let Glenn A convince you to "slam it". For a tall guy he likes things real low.

Joe I took recently the legs off My sofa ! Man You got to see how it looks all slammed down on the carpet . sweet !
