Just came in, from a bit of a self created fiasco.
I installed (or at least ran) new battery cables from the starting battery to ground and the starter.
When it came time to make the connections to the post on the starter, the bolt sheared off and cracked the solenoid.
So today, in went a new starter too...
Huge thanks to Tony at GT for making these parts available quick through his supplier, and Glenn for interceding to get the part ordered and ready for me to pick up.
Bus is back running.
The new cables with protective covers. (Only put the covers on the starting battery, wine it is a bit exposed to the elements by the vents above)

Been there done that with the starter, seem like a fairly common problem. I guess the plastic just become brittle with time, heat and the elements all taking their toll. Glad to hear it's resolved.

Waiting for my new captive D ring's. turns out, the junk from Home Depot isn't rated.
I bought a set that's rated for 3600#/ea
I know my hammock won't ever incur that much weight, the dog is not that strong... And it is highly unlikely that I'll ever need to be pulled. But the tubing that the Roo is made from isn't rated for much more. Again, not for towing, more for aesthetic and light camping tie downs. But in a pinch, they would do.

Got a new set of jalousies. Going to refinish this set,many then swap them out for the worn set on my bus.
Got them torn down (wasn't too bad) I definitely got it down pat by the second window. Getting the dried cracked seals out of the crimped channels was a pain in the arse.
They're going to a friends shop Sunday for a good polishing. I got them cleaner looking with some mothers, but they will look mint with the right tools.
Going to install new glass too. The local lass shop gets $20/pane for tempered glass cut to size. I think new, clear glass will really make the windows stand out.
Going to order the new seal kit from WW and will install my edge guards once the windows are going back together.
Pics as we go.

Have had an increasingly horrible screech from the brakes developing over the past month or so... Had done it for a while even before but was intermittent and the Funeral Home's mechanic looked and said there waspleanty of material there.
Also, a loose sound/sensation from the front end.
Bus is goin (supposed to go?) to Vermont next week, so gotta get this straightend out!

There is a switch next to the fire extinguisher.
It's quite handy when camping and needing a bit of light at night, or for those mid-night runs to water the bushes.
