No doubt he needs practice.... but it sounded like a 'dig' at the B, rather than a offer for assiatance

Never!!!! Plus he could look at her front end and see what he needs to upgrade to disk brakes, and then check out the stater motor connection to see what he needs to get the motor runnng again! See it is a win win situation.

You need to adjust your clutch. It grabs to high and there is no freeplay.

I know I just did an adjust on Friday night and I realized it was too much on my way to NHP. Should have left if alone since it wasn;t broke!

I've been on the hunt for some center caps and i found some aluminum logo'ed ones at Litchfield. I asked and was told by the seller they would fit the 8 spoke rims I have on. Well that wasn't exactly the case. I had to trims the center hole on the rim to get them on.

Yesterday I was using a dremel with a grinding stone and was not making much progress at all. Plus it was hopping all over the the rim. Got a better solution and got two installed today.

GA pointed me in the direction of a double cut half round file. Got it out of the toolbox and put it to work. Was great to see those alum shavings sprinkling down. The elbow grease getting this done was worth the effort and even finished it off with a cleaning and buff!!

Spent last night getting the rest of the rims filed down and the center caps put on. Used a little locktite to keep them tight. They are DONE!!

Question on file maintenace (no, not for a computer)! Is there a process to sharpen this tool, a double cut half round file? It got lots of use going around the inside of the rims shaving them down (not as much as Andy Dufresn's rock hammer) and not sure if it can be sharpened to keep it effective? thanks.

You clean a file with a tool called a file card. It is a short wire brush used to clean stuff out of the nooks. Then spray some wd-40 on it. Files do wear out or get wrecked if you try to file hardened steel with them. Things like rollpins, dowelpins, sheetrock screws and "C" clips are hardend and can damage a file. Oh yea and don't store them in a pile cause they can damage each other.

Kinda bummed! Worked over the weekend to get my new fenders sprayed painted. Bought the pricey white epoxy primer and activator and followed the prep and read all the directions. Did some practice runs on cardboard that were ok, but the big problem was on the spray gun, the paint just flowed out of the the nozzle unless the trigger was engaged to spray. As soon as the cup was filled out it ran unless i kept a finger over it. Needless to say there was lots of paint on the floor!! After that fiasco, went fishing!!! Tried again on the other one last night and same senario even worse. Wound up sanding down fender one since there were lots of uneven spots trying to juggle the gun, hose and keeping the trigger happy!

Going to check on other options! :?
