So far i've received $400 in donations which means, with MetLife's matching, Cycle for Survival will get $800.

There's still time to get in. Also, if you itemize your deductions on your 2017 taxes, you'll get a tax break.

Now $525 which equals $1050 with the matching.

I'm in West Palm and heading home when standing in line for the TSA, a woman saw the shirt I was wearing and said " I have to tell you how grateful I am for MSKCC and C4S". She tells me that the treatments she was receiving in Boston were not helping and was transferred to MSKCC. There she was part of a clinical test that was partially paid for by C4S and within months she was improving and her quality of life was renewed. It's been 3 years and she's returned to a "normal" life and is in remission. She credits C4S and MSKCC for her current good health. She gave me a hug and disappeared into the crowd.

Over the years i've met fellow participants in C4S, but this was the first time i randomly met someone who directly benefited from the treatment funded by C4S.

Very cool Glenn. You never know who you're helping or when or where you're going to meet them.

The event was yesterday and our team, Team Gray Matter, raised $22,129. A bit less than last year, but we lost a few family/friends that donated in the past.

So far Team Gray Matter has raised over $150,000 since 2011.

Our team captain, Maria, along with myself, Toby and Miss Noa.

So far, Cycle for Survival 2018 has raised over $32,000,000 and over $171,000,000 since 2007.

You can still donate until April 1st, so if you didn't.. please do.

Another year has gone by and we're still fighting cancer. Last years donations are already funding research and clinical test, but more is needed.

This past June my mother, Betty Ring, lost her fight with her 4th cancer. She survived living with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) for 30 years, a GIST stomach tumor, lung cancer in her right lung and one in her left. The right lung cancer came back and she did well participating in a clinical test. But after a year it became less effective and she was out of options.

It is clinical test like the one that enabled my mother to hold her great grand daughter and attend her grand daughter's wedding that your donations support.

I hope I can count on you to donate so others can live longer and share such events.

The date for this years event is Saturday March 2nd, 2019 so you have the option of having your donation in tax year 2018 or waiting until after January so it's in 2019.

To donate, just click on the link below and then click on DONATE. You will be directed to MSKCC's secure website.

Thank you all for your support.

My dad would of been 92 today, but his life was cut short by prostate cancer. That was 38 years ago, he was only 53.

This is the last week before the event for me. My goal was $2500 and i've surpassed it. I'm just $70 short of $3000, so please no amount is too small ( or too big). My team is just $25 short of raising $20,000.

100% of your donation goes to research within 6 months. None of it pay for any administrative costs, these are supported by corporate donors.

So today was the event and it was crazy. The place was packed and the speakers gave stories from the heart. The last speaker was a doctor @ MSKCC and told how he learned that his 17 year old daughter had a very race cancer. So rare that MSKCC only sees 3 people a year with it.

Another spoke that the cancer was treated by a process developed by MSKCC and funded by Cycle for Survival.

Your dollars make a real different that can be seen, heard and hugged.

Here's some preliminary numbers.

I raised $3319.
My team raised $24,902
Cycle for Survival 2019 raised $33,172,197
Since 2007 $212,000,000

Thousands of lives saved.

As it turns out, fund raising for this year has not ended. You can still donate to our team until 4/1/2019.

Maria (team leader and Sue's sister), me, Stacy (my daughter that I hope never loses another loved one to cancer)

Another year and we're still fighting.

Unfortunately a good friends 40 year old daughter had a relapse after having breast cancer and now it's spread to her brain and spine.

I started fundraising on Monday and already received $850 in donations. No donation is too small, even $5 helps. And 100% of your donation goes to
research.

To donate click on the link and you'll be directed to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center's website. It's 100% secure and your information is NOT sold or used for soliciting

I'm half way to my goal of $2500. I was told that next week there will be a donor that will match all donations dollar for dollar so your donation will double. I'll let you know when that is.

In the mean time I created a QR Code so you can scan it with your smartphone and it will take you to my MSKCC donation site.
