The most sought after topic on the board got lost on the great purge of 2014. Back by popular demand ( mostly by Ken) ...its back!
I did this over the weekend while sweating some pipes at home. Ooops!
day 1 - hurt like an sob!
later that day..... got a bit juicy as the blister popped
day 2- moist
day 3 - started to peel.

YES! I contacted HR (my wife) and she said that if it hurts that much I shouldn't be working on the VW's. Suddenly, it didn't hurt anymore.

I broke 2 cardinal rules for working on a car this morning....1)Don't start when you are half asleep and 2) LET THE DAMN THING COOL DOWN FIRST!
This is the DVG forum. We do not tell people how to post here. Go play in the kiddie pool if you don't like it.

YES! my thoughts exactly. They would have done exactly the same thing Im sure! Only difference is they may have used some sort of sanitized vice grip...... we used one straight from the garage. Gave her the old, ' wipe it across the thigh' to clean, and she was good to go!
