Can't Get it to run right!!!

Hey guys I just found the Das Volks site I'm hoping I can get a little help here and if I can get it running right i look forward to maybe seeing you guys at the shows!

So here's the story of my affectionately called Frankin Bug. About 2 years ago i put a 1776cc motor in it and ever since i can not get it to run 100% right I had it close last year but after a few weeks of driving it last summer it seems to have regressed again.

Here is what i have in it 1776cc motor, MSD ignition wires coil and distributor,
Im 90% sure i have DUAL EPC 34 EMPI CARB CARBURETOR
like this
http://www.ebay.com/itm/VW-VOLKSWAGEN-B ... 4897.l4275

Which I'm pretty sure is the culprit because I've changed the jets and tuned them as best as I can but it seems to only help for a few days.

Basically the biggest performance issues is that the car doesn't come alive until about 2500rpms under that it backfires and has no power and sounds like its only running on 2 cylinders

Any of you guys know an EXPERT to help me! I am prepared to buy new carbs but I want to be sure that will fix it.

Thanks so much!!!
