1967 beetle vert
Well I just sold my mg midget and plan to pick up the green 67 vert from audrey soon. I am trying to pick up some parts as they come up. Anyway, ordered a 67 vert lid from a guy in cali for a "good" price. Well it came today. Looks good from a distance, but as you look a little closer it is obvious that the vents were welded in. I can clean it up to use it, but I can't help but to be a little pissed that he wasn't up front.

wow, that stinks. Guess people will be devious to sell the "real thing".
I wonder how many times this has been done with those year specific parts.

I guess it would have been info to know up front and let you make the decision if the "good" price was worth the compromise.
