'Twas I.
It was a rough call, but it's not about "us".
Brentwood called us and said they needed help, we started out an ambulance, and me in my Advanced Life's Support responder. A few minutes later as we heard the severity of the call I had our dispatcher send out a second ambulance and a paramedic. Brentwood EMS and fire were already on scene for quite a bit with a complicated series of extrications to make and by the time I arrived they were pretty much taking our patient out of the car. Together with some colleagues, some of whom I've known and worked with for over 10 years we worked what may have been one of the more trying patients in my 13 years as an ALS provider.
Was nice to see some purposeful movement as we made our way down to the hospital.
These things don't stress me. They don't carry with me and while I believe folks who have stress from "the job" I genuinely feel less stress even in the heat of a seemingly rough call than I do on most funerals I have to deal with.
I think I got the career thing backwards.
Ed, a seltzer with lemon and lime please!

What hours are they looking for?
I could use a part time gig for sure.
I'm not Nassau REMAC credentialed, but I suppose I could be rather easily! LOL

We have techs that get Naasau REMAC after they get hired. They run M-F 7a-7p, 1-2 shifts a month.
Most have other gigs so we schedule on their availability. Lots of departments are looking to hire ALS.
