To address traffic and pedestrian congestion in the streets surrounding Venetian Shores Park, the park will be open to Town of Babylon residents only for the remainder of the summer, effective Monday, August 18 through Labor Day, September 1.

A Town of Babylon beach permit sticker or digital Yodel pass will be required for entry at all times. Digital Yodel passes can be purchased here: https://www.yodelpass.com/tob. Walk-ins are permitted but must present a photo ID with a Town of Babylon address.

Park Rangers will be stationed at the entrance to verify residency throughout the day and evening. These steps are being taken to keep the park enjoyable for our residents.

That sux, I was just going to post a get together for this week. Maybe an eating ?

Katch posted on FB last night saying they had no clue this was coming, and that on top of the beach now being for residents only they were told to cancel their upcoming music/shows for the remainder of the season. They said they'll be laying off the staff, not sure if that means its over for good or if they are just going to sell to the few residents who come to the beach now. While more than none, I am confident that their business will take a massive hit in selling just beach concessions.

Something must have happened for them to make this change.

Supposedly Latin night was such a success people were parking in the streets in front of houses. Gem and I were there twice on that night and while it was busy it didn't look that crazy.

Crazy , not many people speak Latin anymore ….
