Warranty... yes, but not under "stupidity".

No worry.. everything can be fixed.

Hey Raj,
I was going through some links looking for a wiring diagram for my donor steering column, and found this tucked away-
http://www.1800vw.bizhosting.com/qa_gasheaters.htm

The conservatory link is now dead, but the other one still works.

I know I don't need to tell you this, but be careful with it.

Its been a while for the old 73. She has graciously stepped aside as the 74 slammed thing came into the picture this past March. She came up her plates. regi and insurance for the 74. Since winter is now upon us, I moved the 65 in winter storage and brought the 73 inside for some love. The plan will be a) repair the rear end damage that occured many moons ago by a PO b) weld in some metal to repair some holes c) and them paint. She will soon again be a driver so it wont be too fancy. I hope. Stay tuned.

I finally was able to play in the garage today, as I took the day off since I'll loose it by year end if I dont use it. The first area I'll tackle is the rear. If you have seen the car it has been rearend at some point in its live. The impact dished inward the rear bumper and apron and wrinkled both 1/4's. It was this reason that I was never planning on redoing this car. I thought about it a bit, and figured I'd give it a whirl..... worse case, I'd hang 74 style ear muffs on it to cover up the 1/4's. The car is going factory white in satin, so the body work wont need to be 'perfect perfect'.

Degreased the engine compartment last week. I'll need to replace all the shelves in here bc they are rotted away.

yesterday I tried to tackle the rear apron a bit.

The rear light wiring runs through a tunnel in bw the inner and out wall. The outer wall was dented so I needed to remove the wire before I cut the inner wall. Unfortunately the wire was squished inside from the impact.
