'71 Squareback

Post by periscopebill »

Just wanted to post and say again a HUGE thank you to Jim, Mike, Ed & Carol. This past Saturday was the perfect Saturday.

I road tripped out to Jim's house initially just for his help on installing a new turn signal, from there it turned in to all kinds of fun. Adjusting upper torsion arms, fixing my brights, making sure my horn didn't continue to honk whenever I turned the wheel (always fun), clear to checking the air filter, adjusting the timing, gapping points, tightening up ridiculously loose contact points on the coil, and even ripping off my old broken rear view mirror and replacing it with the new one (thanks Ed!)

Even Carol jumped in to help:

It really was the perfect day, I can't thank you all enough for the help! Here's to the next Saturday.. and the next :D

Sarah it was a good day and the weather was great for working outside on the VW's. Your car sounded great on the way home. Next time your out we'll see what we can do on the interior. Thanks for feeding all of us!

Great to hear Sarah. You must be thrilled to have all those open items crossed off the list.

I know the last work done gave your some concerns but it sounds like the group got you back on track. Enjoy the improved ride!!

:P
Keep working at it and it gets done!!
