So it starts....
1914cc, dual Weber IDFs
Case was decked, opened for 94mm cylinders, tapped for full flow, rods and pistons were balanced. Crank is 69mm CW forged 8 dowel with a forged and lightened flywheel.
More to follow.

It's a short block. Measured the deck height and ordered new Panchito heads from CB.
The CB H-Beam are awesome. I really like them.. very high quality.
All new hardware and its a pleasure to have new chromoly head studs.... fresh clean threads.

Perhaps you should be looking into building a type four engine since so many people seem to be having issues.

Flywheel and pressure plate is on. Endplay is .003" and torqued to 325ft-lbs.
Forgot to show the 1.5qt deep sump.
I ordered the heads yesterday. CB Panchito 044 40x35 with dual springs. CR will be 8.5:1.
Now I have to wait for the heads to arrive.

76 can be tricky with rod length and pin height. A 94x69 is a pretty proven combo and using A pistons and 5.4" rods.
I ran into enough issues with only .012" endplay with NO shims. i had to have the nose of the flywheel trimmed .020". Then the rocker arms are not in the correct location over the valve stems. I had to have the rocker arm pedestals machined so I could shim them to get the geometry correct.
Gotta over aftermarket parts.

The anodized pulleys actually dont look that bad. Generally the color is way off........
Can we talk about the lower cyl head tin on the 1/2 side? Going with a ' match the cap/ rotor color ' are we? haha
Nice looking motor... great work

It'll run faster with a clear cap.
This is the DVG forum. We do not tell people how to post here. Go play in the kiddie pool if you don't like it.
