Re: Raj R: 73 181 Refurb
got a rack for the hardtop, installed it this morning

not perfect, but perfect for my thing

i didnt want to mar the factory gel coat finish of the hardtop so i made a lil gasket to prevet wear. I was gonna use cardboard to build a gasket, but thats really too ghetto. Even for me.

I think it really compliments the top very nicely. Needs a spare tire mounted, a cooler filled with beer, a shovel and an axe.

Re: Raj R: 73 181 Refurb
it came from cali. Its supposedly a replica of the factory rack, neither of which i have ever seen before. It mounts right on with the factory drilled holes.

As some of you may know, iwas have a weird oilt leake from my fuel pump recently. Very odd. I decided to vent the valve covers to relive some pressure.

While i was at it, I went back to the stock filler just for S&G's. ( as suggested on TS)

I still have to get some clamps. I'll reroute the hose when i drop the motor to redo the engine compartment... one day.

I havent driven it long distance yet, but so far so good. The spring thing fling will be the true test.

Prepping the THING for its journey to the THING FLING!
The wife is gonna roll with me so I tossed in a passenger side seat belt. Its a old school 3 pt belt, manual adjust, bolted to the body and tied into the cage mounts. I'm gonna upgrade/ replace my drivers side lap belt this morning to match.

Re: Raj R: 73 181 Refurb
Are those seat belt mounting tabs lined up for the direction of pull when the seat belt is used.
The one next to the seat looks like it needs to be rotated in a little.
