Looks like a winner to me. The process is a slow one,but at least when you go to spot weld things back together it will move a lot quicker as long as both sheet metal panels are tight against each also you will have less blow out holes...Matt

Its funny you say that. My wife often says I need some professional help. But I dont think she's talking about my VW's

Looking real good Raj...Are you going to push the metal edges in with a screwdriver and then weld or are you going to use set screws?
Use real thin guage wire...

Good question Matt. I was thinking the same question for the areas that I cant grab with some large clamps. I'll try all options and see what works. The goal here to build a nice looking driver while I hone my currently sub par welding/ metal working skills.
Luckily I have some very talented fabricators on staff, that can quickly access the situation and come up with solutions on the fly, without soiling themselves too badly. They work for only food and shelter so the price is right. Here they in action a few months ago

Looks great...that is a lot of work you did there...lots of have never given the process a try...Are you going to clean the metal first before you tack weld...
I would use soda to blast the metal clean..also the areas that you are going to tack too...you can treat everything after with etch primer and pur 15 where needed...
Super job...Matt

Thanks Matt, I'll clean the metal with the whizzer wheel before welding it all in. I have plenty of prep to do before I get to that point, but Ill keep you posted.

Smokin' Al's is having their Giants special again. Order between $200 and $550 worth of food and if the Giants win the Super Bowl, Al will refund the amount.
