Re: End of the season (it's BACK)
The rebuilt axles were packed with grease so when I installed them it squeezed out and had to be cleaned up. Working or cars is always messy.

Re: End of the season (it's BACK)
I had to drop the Civic off at GT to get a new mirror installed so I had the kid give me a ride home and I borrowed a 2nd floor jack.
So I slammed it in and i just have a few more things to button up and then it's ready to fire up.

TCB...
Basically I need to install the muffler, banjo fitting to the carbs and put oil in it.

Nice! The timing on all of this is pretty perfect. Wish this board had a thumbs up icon...

Re: End of the season (it runs again)
Did some adjusting on the linkage and it's close enough to let Tony do the fine tuning.
I found the source of the rattling I heard, I never attached the muffler straps to the rubber hangers and they were jingling.
I stepped on the clutch to run it through the gears with the wheels off the ground to get the gear lube on all the parts. It's way out of adjustment and I didn't want to get under a hot engine.
Running much better.. not prefect, but soon.
