The 07 Tundra just turned 95k on the clock. It has the factory battery and has never given me an issue until Etown when all the kiddies had the interior lights and radio on for 5+ hours. Again, it died this weekend when I had the radio on for a few hours while doing some construction on my bro in law's house. Considering winter is coming, I think its time.
What are you all running in the daily drivers? I know BusBQ has some great knowledge on the topic, hope he can shed some light. Any one else have good/ bad experiences?

Re: Battery in daily driver
I have Optimas (red tops) in everything I own. Except my diesel Blazer which has huge deep cycle marine batteries. The oldest is now nearly 7-8 years old an still going strong. Expensive, but I've yet to have a complaint other than that.
Re: Battery in daily driver
Check with an Interstate Battery distributor, the one here locally sells blems. Lat time I checked was a few years ago, but I got an Interstate battery for around $35.
Re: Battery in daily driver
Thanks everyone for the insight. I looked into the Optima, but the for double the cost and similar CCA and warranty, I couldn't justify it for the mean sake of being able to mount it in any direction. After all, if the battery become inverted in the truck, I think I will have bigger issues to face than just the battery. I went with an Autozone battery. It has more CCA than then the stock, so hope she does me and the driver right.
Meanwhile, the stock Toy battery still has the ' green eye'. It will be placed in something I have here that can use some juice while I shuffle around the projects.
Thanks again!

I agree, the price can be a tough bit to swallow.
