Hi I'm Brown

Post by Brown »

Don't really know what the he!! happened last year but I really lost my focus on the VW front. I got busy with a lot of other crap along with family issues and the VW's fell by the wayside.

I had accumulated 4 Karmann Ghias during the course of the year and my driveway starting to look like a chop shop. I tried selling each and got a lot of interest but ultimately no-one with money so little by little they got scrapped, cut up, etc. So now i am down to one 68 Ghia. Twice i thought i had takers for two of chassis but the people could not pull the trigger, and what is amazing is they just stop responding. In both cases all they needed to do was throw a number at me and i would have taken it but what can you say.

I'm hoping to get the Ghia roadworthy while at the same time tying to sell off the larger parts i have, but either way I will be getting back to attending the meetings and making a few shows.

Looking forward to seeing everyone in the coming year!!

Hey, it's not like you said having kids won't change things and you'll still be attending all the events.

And then it does... and you don't.

We all know you constantly have to reevaluate life's priorities. VWs are only one and family comes first. (cycling comes second ;))

I finally acquired all the pieces to use those spindles I got from u last winter for my disc conversion. Believe me I know how life can get in the way. Planned on waiting till it got really cold. My truck showed 12 degrees this am. Haven't started yet.

You can thank Tom, he says that every time you're not at a meeting.

BTW... isn't time for a 3rd? (don't tell Christine I said so, she's kill me) ;)
