Single to dual reservoir brake switch

Post by rob711 »

Am I a stupid crazy dangerous hack if I only install one brake light switch in my master cylinder, the fronts, and get a brass plug for the rear? My Mexican bug only had a single reservoir master and one switch.

I would think you can connect them in parallel.

I'm sure if you search the Samba, you'll find what to do.

I Def didn't plug it. I forget how I did this, but most of my early cars have this upgrade. I either wired them in parallel or even short cutted it and its working on one switch. If I can take a peek at one of my cars, I'll let you know.

Thanks. Wiring them together seem to be the norm on the samba, did find a thread from a guy in Australia? http://images.thesamba.com/vw/gallery/pix/997823.jpg
I'm going to plug it, hope I don't become more of a menace to the motoring public
