So how's the pandemic going for you ?

Post by Tom »

Only started working from home Thursday, had to get everybody set up to work remotely. Must have touched at least 100 laptops , my hands are raw from sanitizer.

Ronnie is starting working from home tomorrow, don't know if I have enough booze ... :D

Too many walkers on the Bethpage bikeway.

Stacy said people are walking into bars and getting drinks to go in paper cups. Then they stand outside and drink. Makes no sense.

But Deb and i are good.

On the other hand, we have a new grand baby coming in less than 2 weeks so we're staying away from EVERYONE.

Been working with my synagogue and setting up so we can broadcast services online and have virtual meetings for members using Zoom. Also the teachers are having virtual classes for the kids.

Toby and Jamie's schools are closed but they spend all evening reviews that days work from their students and setting up lessons for the next day. They are VERY busy with work, dealing with a 2.5 year old and being almost 9 months pregnant.

Finally I stopped by Raj's to see the new baby. I stayed outside at the bottom of the steps and that kept the screen door closed. The baby is VERY cute and all of them are doing well.

EdnCarol are still in Arizona and plan on staying.

Wow , 2 weeks until due date. That has to be super stressful for them.

Raj working from home with the 2 boys and a newborn is no walk in the park either. I’ve seen the pictures, she is adorable.

God bless everyone and stay safe.

Not much has changed yet for me. I'm still at work (somehow keeping cash registers going is "essential") and since Gemma is a nurse's assistant, she's still working too.

I'm on a work 7 days then off 7 days schedule. Off this week. Really enjoying it.

Tom ,Yeah different if your company is asking you to work from home that kinda stinks. You see I get the time off with no company work at home so I can do my own work. Very productive. Jess working 3 days this week then off all next week. Then repeat. Of coarse I'm hoping for this virus to end sooner than later, I'd rather everything go back to normal work schedule.

Guess I'm going to have time to work on mine as well. Going to start working 3 days a week starting next week. After working here for 34 years it's going to feel very strange not going to work every day. But on the other hand, after working here for 34 years maybe it'll be nice to dial it back for a little bit. Hopefully this is temporary.

Hi old friends, (even though I am the senior member)!!

Just wanted to say that I have been thinking of you and hope everyone stays healthy and safe.

I am going to work on a random basis but I have my own office and leave "footprints" to see if anyone goes in after I leave. Very James Bond!! Lots of Lysol!!

I started using my sewing skills to make masks as it is tragic that the Feds can't their act together!

Hope to see you other the other side of this curve!!

AoT
:P
Keep working at it and it gets done!!

Yeah, I'm gonna lose a few bucks, but not too severe. It's good that Gemma is working now too, helps lessen the burden.

Get in the truck and pull behind Ronnie's car. Keep the engine running, in drive with your foot on the brake. Do that for 3 hours and tell me if you still miss it. ;)

It's getting scary. Gemma is now working on the units with people who are infected. You can only take so many precautions, I just pray she doesn't get sick. My mom and uncle are banished upstairs and I'm now sleeping in the back room. I can't even kiss my wife goodbye in the morning.

This sucks ass.

Well that's that. We closed the store down for now. First time in 34 years I'm not getting up to go to work. Very freaky feeling.
