Delog's are VW replacement glass from what I've heard. Let's hope Manny's friend solves this issue and gets you on that road in time for the Equinunk Historical Society's car show on June 26th. Wink, wink.

John, dont we have a friend who has a notary close in the family? Was that avenue explored? Did you already sign the title? If not just have them sign that they witnessed your signing of the title. More likely than not the average notary wont have a clue that its a requirement for some out of state DMV. If you want to drive out to the funeral home, Pat will surely do it for you.

that didn't work out...hopefully, Manny's friend can get it sorted out

sigla and delog were replacement windshields for sekurit, which didn't meet U.S. safety standards at the time

John i just want to make sure i understand this correctly.. its the sellers signature you need noterized correct.. if its your signature that you need noterized that would not be a problem, however if its the sellers signature that needs to be notorized the seller would have to be present with the notary when he signs it.. Still i am thinking this is kind of odd that you need a notery for transferring ownership this must be something new? http://www.broadwaytitle.com/ might be able to help or manny's person..

I don't know, Bill...the people at DMV have been unclear so far...I have not heard of anyone having to do this other than myself, so there may be some misunderstandings at work

I am going to place an order soon, so I wanted to double-check a few of the possible parts offers...I'll PM to confirm and check on price:

67SAMBA - front license plate clips
Glenn A - locks and mirror and arm (driver's side vent and sliding locks?)
light color dash grab handle
williamblanda - interior cargo door handle (light color)

also looking for replacement bosch blue coil stickers...

thanks!

When I sold my dumptruck it had a PA title. If I remember corectly it clearly had a place for a notary to sign it. So all the seller would have to do is look at it, read it and get it notarized. I'm sure any state that requiered a notary would have the same printed section on the back of the title. I probably would have walked out and went to a different DMV office. I feel your pain man. I hope you get it straightened out soon.

no space for notarization on the title...WA DMV confirmed they do not require it, only a simple sign-over

steering feels a little loose, brakes might be pulling a bit, and there may be some "interesting" noises coming from the RGBs or brakes, but super fun to drive and engine feels strong...out to Bellmore with Bill, met up with Mel and Glenn A, homebrews and pizza, almost a two-bus crash due to someone deciding to park in the left lane but situation dealt with by GA's off-roading, over to Manny's and the CRB, tearing around Freeport at 12:30 AM with GA at the wheel, back home on the Meadowbrook to the loop at 55...need to get a bit more used to the feel before I hit 60 LOL

thanks Joe, no problem...
