Re: Samba front page

Is that your tat Mike?

I thought Glenn was showing the mistake of using that tat image with the caption (Ghia reference).

Re: I hear DVG accepts waterpumpers!

Not too worried. The cars are at the end of the driveway. My parent's Durango first, then the bus, the Beetle is last - at least until they clear the streets. If I do have to go out, I'll take the 4x4 or if needed the bus. It does well in snow.

My bus is warm and cozy at a garage at work for the ...

Sorry, you must put at least 1000 miles per year on your VW to stay a member of this club. You are banished.

Re: Home away from Home, on wheels.

Mike, first off sorry about your Uncle. Never easy saying goodbye to someone. God bless.

I had the same rattling on my passenger front side. You felt it when you drove my bus thru Port Jeff. Once I installed the new Koni's it went away. My shocks were, let's say, shot. You could compress them like ...

Re: Griffin Green Goblin

Busy weekend for the bus.

Installed:
1) Jamie Rivers front hitch. Well made and fit without any problems to the tow hooks.

2) New front Koni shocks. Rears are on back order. What a ride difference! The old shocks were shot don't you think....

Have a chance to have my bus painted by world famous artist Kenny Scharf tomorrow for free. He has been in touch with me and if weather is good said he is good to go. What do you all think? Bus would be a rolling piece of art work and worth a heck of a lot more. Think Keith Haring. Thoughts?

Re: Problem solved: Shifting problem

Thanks to fellow green bus owner and all around great guy Mike for swinging by today. My bus is up and at'em again. The rear shift rod coupler was the culprit. Mine was pretty much falling apart. Mike brought out his spare and within a 1/2 hour it was replaced.
It is days like today that I am glad ...

Wondering if someone might be able to give me some advice before I have my bus towed to GT for repair. Coming home from today my bay bus had a hard time finding first gear after I made a pit stop at a store. What use to feel like the first gear slot was now third gear. I made it home and tried to ...

I dont think powder will protect it Rob, you might look to have it ceramic coated. But frankly, the cost to ceramic coat a $120 muffler is gonna be $220 lol
